  • Candidates will not receive a formal bilingual authorization unless they hold a current teacher credential in the state of California.

  • Some of the courses in this program are taught in Spanish; therefore, candidates must be able to read, write, and speak with academic Spanish.

  • Pass a program-specific interview in Spanish.

  • Meet language requirements with one of the following:

    • Pass CSET 147 Spanish Subtest III

    • A major in Spanish

    • Valid Single Subject Spanish teaching credential

    • Program director recommendation
