Nurse Educator Post-Masters Certificate

Admission standards for graduate studies at California Baptist University can be found in the admissions section of the University Catalog.  In addition, each candidate must meet the following requirements for this program:

• Additional Grade Point Average

  • A minimum 3.0 GPA for admission

• Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the evaluated equivalency.

• An active, unencumbered California Registered Nursing (RN) License

• Professional resume that includes current practice as an RN

• Complete a successful interview with the College of Nursing

• Students are expected to work as a registered nurse during the program to gain clinical experience

• Prerequisites must be completed within the last five years (completed with a “B-” or better):

  • NURS 5550 Advanced Pathophysiology 

  • NURS 5580 Advanced Pharmacology 

  • NURS 5600 Advanced Assessment

• Required clearances (upon admission):

  • CPR Certification

  • Background Check Clearance

  • Health Clearance

  • Drug Testing

  • Proof of Health Insurance

  • Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance
