Combining coursework with hands-on experiences in bilingual settings, the program builds expertise in TK–12 program models while integrating the Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs) and Bilingual Teaching Performance Expectations (BTPEs). Authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), the BILA qualifies educators to provide instruction to English Learners (ELs) across a range of instructional settings.
